Go, if only for the chicken salad. The pulled pork, ribs, smoked chicken, and brisket are all good, but the chicken salad is the star of the show. I buy it in two-pound quantities at a time. Good on crackers, good on sandwiches, good eaten with a spoon, your fingers, or straight out of the container face first. BEST CHICKEN SALAD EVER.

I don't eat pork so I can't say anything about that. I do, however, enjoy well cooked chicken. Georgia Bob's chicken salad is the best around. It is full of flavor, the chicken is smoked and moist. If you are in the area I recommend it.

It had been a few years since I last tried Georgia Bob's. I would always order their rib plate and the ribs would always be flavorful, meaty, and smoky. However, this time it SUCKED!! The ribs were flavorless, dry, and small portioned. They gave me an end piece, so half of the ribs were hard and inedible. Plus it had absolutely NO smoked flavor, but it did have a spoiled flavor like it had been sitting out too long. I'm afraid I might get a stomach ache. It was probably cooked the day before and reheated. I had brunswick stew for the a side. They would give you a hefty portion of brunswick stew in the past, but I was given a small sample size portion that you can eat in one gulp. This place has gone downhill over the years. I would remember driving by this place and seeing (and smelling) the smoked flavor coming out of their pit at the side of the road. Every time I drive by now, there's no activity around their pit area. They probably just cook their meats in a regular oven to save money. They advertise St. Louis style ribs, but I've tried authentic St. Louis ribs before and this is nothing like it. You can probably get better cooked ribs at Wal-Mart. I think I was given riblets instead actual ribs, as the bones were only a couple of inches long and there were tendons everywhere. That's FALSE ADVERTISING!! To make matters worse, their service was lacking. The young lady that took my ordered seemed bored, emotionless, and never smiled. After I got my order, I thanked her but she never said anything back or even looked up at me. While I was eating, a young pretty boy came in to order and she was flirting and laughing it up with him the whole time. She was obviously a spoiled, self-centered brat that had no sense of maturity whatsoever. Most of the customers that go here are locals that probably know the owners by their first names. That's probably why they keep coming back even though their food sucks. If you've never tried them out, DON'T!!!!!!!!

I first tried their food at an event they catered. I had never liked brisket before but I am definitely a huge fan of theirs! Their rolls are delicious as well! Unfortunately they are located in a gas station so there's not much for atmosphere but I'm okay with using the drive thru. I would say they have the best BBQ in town. They have a new location on Hwy 96 - I went there during the first week they opened and the food was cold and the sweet tea was gritty - I hope they get the kinks worked out because I have high hopes for their dine in location!

Pretty tasty ribs and chicken salad. I'd consider giving them 5 stars if they weren't inside a gas station and they had waiter service.

As others have said, this restaurant is part of a gas station/convenience store. The food is good. We had chicken and spare ribs. Both were tender and juicy. BBQ sauce was tasty - - more sweet than spicy. Sides were our typical - - baked beans and cole slaw. We had a new side and what a great surprise - - chicken salad. This had to be the very best chicken salad I have in my whole life. Chicken salad - - you bet. Enjoy.

Surprisingly good BBQ out of a gas station. Seemed a bit pricey for what you got.

Don't know why everyone's so excited about this place. Tried it once at the Flash station....it was fine. I was really disappointed though with the Brunswick Stew. It had the consistancy of like they put it in a blender and pureed it for 5 minutes. That might be OK for some but for me, I like it a little more chunky. Won't go back with Martin's and Shane's in the same vicinity. Now that's good BBQ!

Some of the best pulled pork in the state. Baked beans are solid as well. I've only tried the ribs once and they were just about perfect, but the pork is the star at this place. More than once we've pulled off of I-75 to grab a pint (or more) to bring back to Atlanta.

Have ate there several times, when in area, I live a bit out. The food is awesome and the people who work there always friendly. I hope to get back over that way soon. Love the barbeque and other great things on the menu. I was surprised, it is connected to a convenient store but so good.,. If you have passed by and not stopped in do so, feel you would like Georgia Bob's too.

If you go here eat the chicken salad! It is wonderful has pecans chopped up in it. Not the best environment, it is located into a flash foods gas station, but get past that and you may find yourself sitting next to the mayor or the base general, everyone goes to this place. Food is great, my fav is the chicken salad, not a great fan of the bbq pork, but I do order it in bulk for agent opens. You can order online from their website which I love when you gotta feed a crowd.

I went through the Byron drive-thru today and ordered the pulled pork bbq plate and a lemonade. Total was 9.92. Plate comes with two sides so I got brunswick stew and french fries. When I opened my styrofoam plate, I honestly thought they made a mistake and gave me the children's meal- the portions are ridiculously tiny. For example, the stew came in a 1/2 cup container and the fries pile was the size of a small child's fist. The stew was decent, but the fries were stale and too salty. The pork was decent too, but it was not smoky enough for me and also tasted stale. Overall, the meal was not worth 10 dollars. I was really disappointed that my meal did not include a fork and napkin, and I finished my drink in three sips because the cup was packed with ice. Ga Bobs has clearly sacrificed customer satisfaction to implement every possible cost-cutting measure (pack drinks with ice, reeeeeaally small portions, no forks and napkins, etc.). I could overlook these ripoff tactics if the food was great, but it was mediocre. In fact, the food gave me a stomach ache. :( I would be embarrassed to recommend this place.

I drive through the back of the gas station and pick up a pulled pork sandwich. Love it. Haven't had anything else. Keeping it simple. Yum.

It's been said that the best bbq in WR is located at this place. Where you have to walk through the convenience store of the gas station to get to. I can't really decide one way or another if this place truly deserves that best ever title, but it certainly is a good bbq place and it being in a gas station makes it all the more appealing. It is a rather new looking place inside, so no sleazy gas station attached quick stop food places should be thought of. Great if you're just driving through back home as they've got a drive-through window.

Review based on observation only even though I have eaten here plenty of times. It is connected with a Flash Food's Gas Station but my question is when I pass by weather it be morning, noon, or night I never see that big smoker going.

I stopped in here on my way home from Georgia to grab a barbecue sandwich and they had a fairly quick drive through. My spicy barbecue pork sandwich was pretty good but my sweet potato tater tots or not very crispy. Hi would definitely stop here again for another sandwich over any hamburger joint in the area. It's not the best barbecue I've ever had but it was not bad either.

The best chicken salad ever!! The fried green beans are pretty good too. This location is small, but great for a quick lunch.

This place is not nearly as good as it was years ago. Contrary to another review my food was not dry at all, more like soupy. It seems more like a fast food chain restaurant now rather than a good home cooked meal. I had the 2 combo plate (ribs, pulled BBQ, fries, and Brunswick stew). Was cheap for $10 but not worth it.

Great food and friendly people! There are three choices of BBQ sauce. Pulled pork and chicken were excellent. Had green beans, BBQ beans, potato salad, coleslaw, and mac and cheese....all tasty! Extra bonus is they have free Wi-Fi.

Pork sandwich was really good and so were the fries but the ribs were a miss . I would stop again if passing threw but wouldn't go out of the way to come here .

Great place to drive thru and pick up dinner for the family. I've never been inside this location so can't speak to the ambience but it does share space w a gas station so I am imagining its rather simple and casual. Their pulled pork family pack is reasonably priced and usually feeds the 4 of us with leftovers for the next day. LOVE the chicken salad. My husband and daughter love the ribs. Nice folks. Oh and THANK YOU for carrying Zapps chips aka best chips in the world!

This was really convenient on our road trip, as we stopped and got gas, then got takeout to eat in the car with the three kids. The French fries were delicious and would be habit forming if we actually lived nearby. The brisket was a nice surprise. And the pulled pork was fine. The only reason I'm no giving it five stars is that it takes a while to get your order if you don't call ahead. And because even though it was delicious, it wasn't completely Earth shattering. We wouldn't hesitate to stop here again if we were driving through!

(Old Review) The locals said this place was the best. Not so much BUT it was ok for a quick meal. Food is served on paper with plastic utensils and condiment packs. And is adjacent to a gas station. If you're looking for a proper sit down meal...steer clear. If you want decent BBQ and don't care about service and atmosphere, go for it.

This place used to be very good. I remember they used to BBQ the meat out in the parking lot. Now, it seems they've stopped trying. The BBQ is just okay. The Mac and chz was powdery and seemed like it came from a box. The fried okra was cold and not cooked through. The prices are high. The portions are small.

I've just learned not to judge a restaurant by the gas station it's attached to. This has the best BBQ and defiantly gives Sonny's a run for their money. We had the sampler platter and let me tell you the ribs are out of this world. They fall off the bone and the sauces are a pure compliment to the taste. The chicken breast was pepper cooked and juicy. I have never been a fan of pulled pork no matter what style it's served, but they have converted me to loving pulled pork. There is no vinegar overtone of taste with any of their foods. They are going to have two more locations open up in their local area. This is going to be something big I can tell. Don't let this place pass you by on your outdoor adventures. I'm glad we didn't pass it up! I am an employee of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation.
